Dr. Joel Fuhrman, six-time New York Times best-selling author, will be speaking on the Advances in Nutritional Science: Protect Yourself from Cancer, Heart Disease & Dementia & Maximize Longevity.
Proceeds from the lecture support the Nutritional Research Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that supports and promotes clinical research to evaluate the impact a nutrient-dense diet has on disease prevention, recovery, and longevity.
Currently, the Foundation is working on two critical studies:
The Nutritarian Women's Health Study (NWHS) will follow 10,000 women for at least ten years. Launched on October 31, 2016, in partnership with Northern Arizona University, the NWHS is a long-term observational study on the effect of the nutritarian diet on the occurrence, recurrence, and progression of chronic diseases (including all forms of cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and stroke). To learn more or register for the study, please visit here.
Later in 2017, the Foundation will take on Type 2 diabetes!!! Did you know that type 2 diabetes is preventable? The Foundation will be involved in a three-year randomized clinical study on type 2 diabetes. We recently received IRB approval from our partner institution and we will soon announce a launch date.
